§ 36-210. Residential unit recycling services.

The franchisee shall provide curbside collection service for the collection of recyclable items from each residential unit within the city one time per week. Bins shall be placed at curbside by 6:30 a.m. on the designated collection day. It is the intent under this chapter for the franchisee to collect certain commingled recyclable items but the franchisee will not be required to collect recyclable items which are mixed with refuse, whether or not normally collected by sanitation crews. The franchisee will notify the city of any such addresses where the residents are so commingling recyclable items and will tag the bins as being unacceptable for collection.
