§ 36-211. Commercial unit recycling services.

  • (a)

    The franchisee shall offer and provide curbside collection of mixed paper placed in 95-gallon carts provided by the franchisee to commercial subscribers which do not generate sufficient mixed paper to warrant dumpster, compactor or roll-off service.

    (b)

    The franchisee shall collect OCC and mixed paper placed in dumpsters, compactors or roll-offs of those commercial subscribers which generate sufficient OCC or mixed paper to warrant dumpster, compactor or roll-off service. The franchisee shall not be obligated to collect and may reject any OCC load which in franchisee's judgment is contaminated with refuse. The franchisee shall notify the city of any such addresses where the commercial subscribers are commingling recyclable items with refuse and shall tag the dumpsters, compactors or roll-offs as being unacceptable for collection.
