§ 2-29. Voting; majority.

  • Passage of a motion shall require the affirmative vote of a majority of Councilmembers present and voting at a meeting at which a quorum is present. Unless otherwise specified in these procedures, a majority means more than one-half of the Councilmembers present excluding abstentions. Upon a tie vote, the chairperson shall vote to break the tie.
