§ 26-109. Sorting, storing, collecting and composting.

Yard trimmings shall be sorted and stored in the following manner:
(1)

Yard trimmings shall be sorted and stored for collection in a manner that facilitates collection, composting or other lawful handling. Yard trimmings cannot be placed in plastic bags if placed at the curb for pickup.

(2)

Upon collection by the city, yard trimmings shall be sorted and stockpiled until their ultimate disposal by chipping, mulching, other beneficial use or recycling.
